episode #20 JAPANESE HOLIDAYS

Monday, November 21st, 2005 at 5:23 am

In Episode #20, I discuss the vast number of Holidays here in Japan. The average Japanese citizen gets more holidays off each year than the average American. Find out how many, and where to work if you want over 24 days off each year!

We go over each of the Japanese holidays, and discuss what to go do, and what to be careful of when visiting during discussed holidays.

Find out what podcast will be resulting from a trip I plan on taking this week, and help me find my dog! Oreo, where the hell are you?

Lots of stories this week from some awesome listeners, and a news story that makes no sense.

“Japanese Phrases of the Week”:

かっこいい = kakkoi = that’s cool
こわい = kowai = that’s scary
かわいい = kawaii = that’s cute

Promos this week come from my first and favorite podcast, Bibb and Yaz (no longer take over the world), and from another great podcast featured on the Podcast Pickle, Sturgeon’s Law.

Hit me up on the pickle, or if you want, you can write a review of Josh in Japan on Yahoo Podcasts, by visiting me on my Yahoo Podcasts Page.

Also, Please find a moment and fill out the podcasting survey I have going on. It’ll take 5 minutes of your time, and even though it’s a little more than just clicking a google ad, it will help me put together a paper to sell advertisers on the show….. which in turn will help me sound better…. which in turn will get you more entertainment…. which in turn will make you happier and more successful….
