Nevermind that. I just noticed you've added a topic list, and holidays was already listed. >.

Nope. Everything has worked perfectly, albeit a bit slow, for me. (10mbit broadband makes you think everything below 500kb/s is slow) That might be because I don't have a Shuffle, I'm still clinging to my Mini. Software issue, probably.

Why not speak about Japanese holidays? That would include at least some of the festivals, too.

Great show, keep it up. ^^

I thought I had made that kind of clear, but I guess with my rambling, I could be a bit confusing at times.....

weather, good item.... added to the list

Fuji is on the list already, but this summer was not good timing for me personally to go.... maybe next year......

festivals is on the list as well.....

homeless could be done, but not sure if i can squeeze a whole episode into it... we'll see

you're the first to mention a problem with the file playing. i had one say that it didn't download completely from my server, but nothing like this.... i am curious if anyone else has had this problem.....

SPEAK UP PEOPLE! :)

Thanks for listening Frank! And thanks for the post.

Coming from Canada which also has a parliamentary system of government, I just want to clarify one point which was a bit vague in your podcast, that is the reasoning behind a Prime Minister dissolving parliament and calling an election. This happens after the governing party has brought to vote a bill and the bill is voted down. To put it simply, the Prime Minister is saying to the opposition: 'I don't think that you as elected representatives are representing your constituents. Let's let the citizens decide.'

Ideas for podcasts: What's the weather like, extremes like typhoons, are they as extreme as North America, getting worse.
Once you get mobile how about climbing Mt. Fuji?
I hear there are seasonal festivals, do you ever attend?
While you are out and about you might comment on the homeless, what I call the 'blue tarp people'. Visiting Tokyo this was as much a 'feature' of Japan as vending machines, canned coffee, etc.

Had problem listening to the ELECTIONS podcast on my ipod shuffle. Had to convert the file to AAC before it would play properly. Has anyone else had problems; a setting in the new software?
