In episode #11, I discuss what happened today with the elections here in Japan for the Lower House of the Diet. Find out if Prime Minister Junichiro Koizume was removed from his position as Prime Minister, and find out why the hell they even had elections with only a one month warning…….

Oh, and today is still Sunday in my book, and yes elections did take place on a Sunday. Why you may ask…… greater turnout at the polls, that’s why! common sense, it’s so cool!

Also, the “Japanese Phrases of the Week” are as follow:

いただきます = itadakimasu = let’s eat / we are going to now eat (listen to the show for proper use)
ごちそうさまです = gochisousamadesu = this was a feast / that was good food (listen to the show for proper use)
ごちそうさまでした = gochisousamadeshita = past tense of above
