possibly working

Well, I think I finally have a working xml feed thanks to Rob from Podcast 411 . He did an awesome job explaing to me that I need to just totally screw the auto-generated feed that wordpress produces, and just build my own.

I first tried discovering what to do on the wordpress forums, but damn that place is just confusing! I really wish those pompous people over there would make a easy to read novice set of guides for idiots like me. The wiki for wordpress isn’t too hard, but I just wish there was something al little more friendly.

So anyways, the feed is working, now I need to start working on two different things…

1) start making decent content for my upcoming podasts, which also includes finding the right podsafe music for in/outtros and segues. That is going to be a challenge for me since my attention span is about as long as a dollar goes for gas.

2) try to figure out how to fix my site so that it is more viewer friendly for those using MSIE. I really hate alienating those who don’t use firefox, but i just love this theme too much to change right away to something that’s more universal. The author of the theme is telling me that he had no problems, and to just validate the site in XHTML by using the validator link that’s in the meta. There were about 120 errors, and I would go and try to fix them all but…..

I don’t know where the code for each error is contained. I have about 12 different .php files that I would have to root through, and that is too much damn work for a lazy body like me. I might try to get my web host to try to help me out. Those guys are pretty cool, and get back to you in a flash. Speaking of which, I guess I’ll throw a button on the page for them. They really are a great host! Site Ground really is the place to go. Ok, well, hopefully by the next post, not so much time will have elapsed, and I’ll have some more positive news. Until next time, mata-ne!
